It's laughable to me that we would even contact David Cutcliffe... the man is too old to be making moves as a HC... but then again, we've got fans who legitimately think Les Miles is a viable candidate. It's like they're trying to throw as much gas on the fire as possible before they make their shit hire, who will probably be someone underwhelming like Tee, Kevin Steele (his record at Baylor was abysmal for starts) or Brohm.
Tee would be a better fit at one of the smaller Alabama schools before he gets a SEC HC job. Hell he's only had the reigns as a OC for what, 2 years now? Just goes to show UT fans and UTAD have no sense when it comes to selecting a competent and qualified HC if Tee is their guy. Herbstreit and Helton can fuck off with their approval for Tee to Tennessee, Helton wants to see his guy do well while Herbz wants to see the Vols get fucked dry. I'd prefer Venables or Daboll over Tee & Steele if we're looking at coordinators.
At this point I have no idea what to think... Vol fans seem to be in love with Brohm as if what he's accomplished at Purdue is so good or as if his accomplishments holding a clipboard in the NFL make hims somehow more qualified, I mean wow he won 6 games at Purdue? Amazing! That's the first time that's happened since... 2011 & 2012? ... better give him 20 mil! to me he's not much to get excited for even if he brings his bro with him. I think what he did at WKU was respectable but the foundation was already laid for him by guys like Taggart and Petrino.
There aren't many good candidates left at this point... It seems like Frost to Nebraska is only a matter of time, but he should still be #1. I still say we go after Neal Brown... the dude is a winner. Vol fans can fuck off if they don't like it because he's definitely a more qualified coach than Tee or Steele.
