Nothing a politician does will ever matter to me. If they raise or lower taxes it wouldn't be enough either way for me to notice. If they do something with healthcare it wouldn't impact me at all.
There is a reason all election propaganda is aimed at the middle class. None of us need politicians so they go after things that have nothing to do with us like guns, immigration, abortion, and terrorism to get people to overreact and vote. Rich people have something to lose, poor people have something to gain. The middle have neither.

It makes sense though. 4% state tax, cost of living way lower, property tax is almost free. For the G Men it's an 18.5% COLA raise compared to 0% where I was in Oregon which was much more expensive to live.
