Gaskin?

He gone next year? Does he have his degree, or did he not come here to play school?

Gaskin seems like a nice, quiet kid who came to Washington for education first, football second. He w9uld happily ride the bench next year to make the team better. He ain't going anywhere

He gone. What a baller that guy is.

Although on The Drive his segment really emphasized how he loved playing at the hometown school in front of his family. Maybe if he doesn't get a top 3 round grade he'll stay.

I know everyone is going to get their panties in a bunch but IMO gaskins wouldn’t get drafted in the top 4 rounds.

He is a great college runningback with amazing vision, ok patience, and good balance but fucktard scouts in the NFL don’t care about that.

Gaskins isn’t going to break long TDS with his speed in the NFL, he won’t pound a defense into submission with strength and size, he isn’t a quick third down pass catching back, and he isn’t a bowling ball lower body type.

NFL coaches want running backs that are elite at something tangible they can measure, size, speed, strength, quickness, and pass catching.

For all the talk on the TBS bored about rare bodies, the NFL is looking for the same thing. Gaskins is a rare talent and has a rare vision and feel for the game which has led to his great college production, but athletically he isn’t rare, most NFL coaches are going to overlook him for the guy who is faster or stronger or bigger even if they had less production in college.

The NFL will likely grade him out as a similar but slower Paul Perkins from UCLA who was drafted in the late 5th round.

All this is true, it's even more reason for him to leave because he's not getting a growth spurt anytime soon.

    Leave while you're fresh.

There is a small risk of not being drafted at all and never getting time to develop

Also get on the Coleman upper and lower body rino cum program and there is a possibility of improving his stock. IMO his game relies so much on his vision, instincts and balance adding 10-15 more pounds of muscle and trade my away a little bit of speed would help a lot more than it would hurt

    Agree

*Gaskin. Why do so many people misspell this?

All this sounds good based on tape but Gaskin tests just fine and it's only getting better. He ran a 4.4 at the Husky Combine last year. Do that in Indy combined with his tape and he'll have a real shot at being a day two selection.

Bulking up would likely hurt him a lot more than it would help him.

Combine and pro day numbers are always fucky... Darrell Daniels and Buddha baker both ran a full tenth of a second slower in their nfl combines...

Regardless you have to be a complete fucking idiot to watch gaskin and think he is the 2nd or 3rd fastest running back in the class or the 7th fastest RB since 2015 in the nfl combine.

Gaskin will run in the 4.5s but likely preform well in the 3 cone drill

But who gives a fuck, he doesn’t have elite speed, he doesn’t play with elite speed, just watch the fucking games.

Even if he runs a 4.47 and adds 10 pounds he would fall right in line as a less physical Wendell Smallwood, another runningback drafted in the 5th round

Sankey and Polk looked more like NFL-style RBs and they were total busts. If Gaskin has any kind of NFL career, it will likely be as a situational pass-catching back.
