I eliminated the fourth place teams from each SEC division for comparing the two conferences:

Alabama > Washington
Auburn > WSU
LSU < Stanford
Miss State = Oregon
Ole Miss < Cal
Arkansas > Oregon State

Georgia > USC
Florida = Utah
Kentucky > Arizona
Tennessee < UCLA
Vanderbilt > ASU
Missouri < Colorado

SEC 6, Pac-12 4, 2 ties IMO.

I'll entertain an argument that the two conferences are roughly equal, but there's no logical basis for saying the Pac-12 is clearly better than the SEC.
