The 7th ranked 8-1 Huskies traveled to the 3rd ranked 9-0 Sun Devils in a game that was shown on closed circuit on the big screen in Hec Ed.
Kaseem Williams' dad caught an amazing TD as the Huskies prevailed and appeared headed to another Rose Bowl. Then they blew the fucking Apple Cup. Thanks, Chuck.
Your forgetting the reason Chuck missed the FG against the gutty little coogs the following week. Because the UW fans at the closed circuit gayme were worked into such a lather, or frenzy, or frenzied lather, that they stormed down from Hec Ed and tore down the goal posts and threw them in the Montlake cut. (Fun fact, Husky Stadium is not, in fact, in Montlake.)
Chuck couldn't practice that week. the missed FG wasn't his fault.
