Byron Murphy was the best new fish. 2 INTs, twice pinned a punt inside the 2. Playmaker.

Myles Gaskin was a nice weapon in the pass game. That's new. Clearly worked harder than ever this off-season. Maybe give him the ball more.

Defense pitches a shutout after the opening drive were it not for an easy INT being aborted by Taylor tripping over his own feet/getting pulled down.

We (?) have found a great #2 wr in Gaskin, who is supposed to also be the starter at rb.

White TE made plays in the passing game.

Murphy is a pimp and should probably be the #2 wr based on what I saw.

Rutgers looked like more of a mid tier b1g than a dreck b1g like they were last year. The defense and special teams exerted their will on them anyways. The offense still has some weapons. The team as a whole doesn't look like 2014 or 15 where it was just futile to do anything.

I had the same thought. We haven't played a great first game under Pete. Even last year's opener wasn't great outside Ross.

The team came out flat, but the only really big red flag I have is the oline. Coleman running between the tackles for 3 yards is not acceptable.

Start pounding the fucking rock with Gaskin, send in Coleman for the straight ahead dives when the defense is tired. The oline needs to get a lot better regardless. It honestly seemed like the interior guys were okay, but Adams and McGary got fucked which im chalking up as flukey. Credit to Rutgers dline and blitzing I guess

The motion we showed with Sample and success we had in throwing to him was great to see

Getting the ball to Gaskin in the flat on a throw and him making the first guy miss will be a nightmare for Pac-12 teams D to defend

Our DL of Gaines, Vita, Johnson and Levi is legit and will put teams behind the sticks so many times this year.

Our db's will be fine. God am I going to miss Jimmy no balls next year
