Halftime... Woodinville 22, Bothell 7

No more than two of those were drops. The vast majority of incompletions were passes that sailed alarmingly high. I stood on Bothell's sideline next to the team for much of the game and an assistant coach was complaining that Sirmon was overthrowing everything.Rubberfist said:
Of those 21 missed opportunities how many of them were dropped by the WRs? I just want to reach into my Jake Locker bag of excuses...DerekJohnson said:Just received the official stats for tonight. Sirmon was 8 of 29 for 105 yards and 2 TDs. He fumbled once and was sacked once.

I didn't either. High school stats don't matter to an extent. A dominant QB who throws for 40 TD's vs 60? Who gives a fuck. Browning and Mauk from Missouri broke every record, but we know both have limiatations.Tequilla said:RoadDawg55 said:
Stop it. Dude has never played a good game against a good high school team.Tequilla said:Because HS matters ... how much is his OL getting run over?
Bothell has always been a solid program.
I was asking a question since I wasn't watching the game ... context is everything ...RoadDawg55 said:

To pretend like high school doesn't matter though is insane to me. Sirmon isn't even a really good HS player, let alone dominate. He's never played well against a good team. Most people who have watched him live seem to be disappointed.
I'm not sure if you know this, but college football is harder than high school. A six pick game is a giant red flag, no matter what year the prospect is. 6 fucking picks and 8-29 his senior year.
8-29 is horrible. Bothell isn't some piece of shit program with no history of success. They are a perennial playoff team.
What QB's did USC go after once Corrall decommitted? Not Sirmon. There isn't one piece of evidence that Sirmon is good besides his recruiting ranking. -
Do his teammates hate him?DerekJohnson said:

I know Sirmon is huge with a big arm, but would he start at Woodinville?DerekJohnson said:
Okay I misunderstood you. Like Roadie, I thought you were making a flippant comment rather than asking a question. Sirmon was harassed during the game, but I would say Woodinville neutralized him rather than brutalized him with a pass rush, if that makes sense. He was only sacked once.Tequilla said:RoadDawg55 said:

Lindquist, Locker, Lifau, Max Browne... All these guys were actually good in HS.
I've never been more passionate about a player sucking than Sirmon. He fucking sucks. -

How did the Bothell RB (Galvan) look? He was pretty good last year as a freshman.

I was recycling a joke from last week. -
If Sirmon was so fucking good, his uncle would have had Bobby Petrino all over his shit. He's a mistake just like Romar used to make to appease the 206 hoop community. Local legend who had all the camps and coaching early. 8th grade superstar. He is Jake Heaps 2017.RoadDawg55 said:

Yankoff runs like a deer (once knee is cleared) and throws darts. 40 inch vertical is legit.
Sirmon won't ever take a snap in a game at the UW. Cook it.

Yankoff is so much better than Sirmon it is not even funny.
-
HS kids are very toolsy and consistency can often vary ... with Sirmon it is all about the tools to me and he has the ones that can end up elite
As I said when Morris committed, I don't care about any specific QB only that we have 3 very highly regarded QBs to battle it out whenever Browning leaves ... the odds that the winner doesn't suck will be mitigated -
Since I am former Woodinville Falcon, all I have to say is GO FALCONS!

Sirmon is to Coker and Dennis what Miley Cyrus is to RoadDawg55.

Before I got here, they were in the State finals in something like 2006, and then in the State semifinals in 2011. I know they have placed great emphasis on their feeder programs.BallzDeep said:How the fuck is Woodinville good now? Bothell used to stomp the shit out them every year. With the opening of North Creek High School in Bothell this year look for the Woodinville and Bothell (and Inglemoor) football teams to be less competitive over the next few years.
-
It will probably hit Bothell and Inglemoor a little harder in terms of numbers, but it's too early to tell for sure.HanseeHall78 said:With the opening of North Creek High School in Bothell this year look for the Woodinville and Bothell (and Inglemoor) football teams to be less competitive over the next few years.
North Creek was actually urged to start out at 3A or 2A to be competitive, but the principal allegedly said no we want 4A now. -
The fact that Haener passed DBG in under a month of being at UW says a lot. At the scrimmage he looked undersized and made a lot of dumb freshman mistakes... but he has an accurate arm and (unlike Browning) a really good sense of pocket awareness. Moved around the pocket and bought time really well.BallzDeep said:Haener is going to be the next starting QB after Browning. I can feel it in my bones. He's too much of a typical Coach Pete QB. Not impressive physically but can throw the fucking ball.
Don't know what's going on with Sirmon. He was overthrowing guys at the Opening too. I defended him back then in favor of it not being real football. Well, now he's playing real football and still overthrowing receivers. I don't think Coach Pete has ever dropped a committed recruit before but if Sirmon continues to play like that he might be the first. -
Plagiarism my shit, but yrykBallzDeep said:Haener is going to be the next starting QB after Browning. I can feel it in my bones. He's too much of a typical Coach Pete QB.

The sucking off of sirmon was a black eye for the tbs’rs. Never forget.

The funny part is that the coaches realized he may not be good and responded by recruiting another QB the same cycle that threw even worse...AtomicDawg said:The sucking off of sirmon was a black eye for the tbs’rs. Never forget.

Part of the story tbs’rs don’t like to talk about. Too bad yank off also sucked. We cannot put a good qb on the field. It’s an irrevocable law That cannot be reversed.HoustonHusky said:

Rare Traits! Hudl! Arm talent!
He went 7-30? 6 picks? Who gives a shit? Nick Saban offered him!
