    Nebraska in the 90s. They won three. Michigan in the 90s. Penn State in the 80s. Just a few examples.
    Nebraska had Lawrence Phillips and Penn State had Sandusky. Great post

    Did you actually cite Nebraska in the 90s? Next to Barry Switzer's Oklahoma Sooners of the early to mid-80s, there might not have been a more out-of-control program ever, and that's saying a mouthful. Obsbourne completely lost control of that shit-show, during which time Nebraska players spent as much time in the slammer as they did in practice.

    I've always said there was some view of Nebraska associated with middle America and all that shit, which hid their misdeeds in a way other programs couldn't get away with, and I always knew there would come a day when enough time would pass and people would forget how dirty and lunatic they were during that run. You just confirmed what I thought.

    As for Michigan, I won't spend too much energy arguing against a 12-0 team, but it wasn't the scariest 12-0 team I've ever seen, and winning the title by beating my kewgs in the Rose Bowl wasn't exactly an exclamation point.

    The point really was dynasties, or something approaching it.
