It's pretty fucking sad that we have to recruit just about every in-state kid in this class as hard as we have to recruit out-of-state kids. This is the best UW has been with the best coaching staff these kids have seen at UW in their life times and yet not a single one of them jumped on his offer and committed on the spot or soon after. I seriously hope this does not become the new norm going forward. Recruiting momentum is real and once you get it, it just snowballs. But if you don't have it for half the fucking cycle, it's harder to get it going down the road. I expect the in-state kids to spark that momentum every year but that's not happening right now.
This feels like USC recruiting. It feels like over-confidence and arrogance and like they think they can just bank on having a great season and then select who they want after the season. Sure that could happen, but that has seriously backfired on SC in recent years. Some big recruiting plans better be in the fucking works for the rest of this Spring and into the Summer. We cannot afford to go into the season with a handful of commits and have all of them be white guys while fucking Oregon just blows past us with a bunch of their overrated 4-star commits like Jay Buttfuck. Fucking get with the program Petersen and get these kids to commit. You're getting out-recruited by these national schools you idiot! Wake the fuck up! -
Well said. There’s zero momentum right now. It’s pathetic.StrongArmCobra said:It's pretty fucking sad that we have to recruit just about every in-state kid in this class as hard as we have to recruit out-of-state kids. I love when Ballz is on his meds. We don’t recruit in the winter and spring. Period. We send a couple edits on email and send some check in texts. That’s it. There’s no other way to blow that much momentum from beating Oregon’s ass for Puka and having FSP with Johnny Wilson repping the shit out of the PAC-12 states? Nope. The west coast? Nope. The Pacific Northwest? Nope. THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. The winter and spring arent supposed to be focused on by big time coaches THATS WHY YOU PAY 75 QUALITY CONTROL BITCHES AND GA’s!! JFC it’s not that fucking hard to get HS kids to think you’re cool, ask @RaceBannon he’s been doing it since Nam. -
That isn’t typically the SC way. They usually clean up regardless of record. Helton is a special kind of incompetence.StrongArmCobra said:It's pretty fucking sad that we have to recruit just about every in-state kid in this class as hard as we have to recruit out-of-state kids.
