Per the interview on dawgman he says "I can't see any reason to wait." Signing on wednesday.

    That’ll do!
    I hope so.

I like his size, but wasn't blown away by the highlight film.

Yeah it's hard to gauge it when half the plays are just simple run defense, and the other half is just play that isn't flashy.

What you can see is the mobility and athleticism. Obviously that camp paid dividends for him.
I trust Jimmy Lake's opinion more than anyone on this bored...including me.
    Bingo.

Lake's gotten mostly four star talent of late but the three stars he's pulled have turned out pretty well.

    Here are his three stars

2014: SMFJ, JoJo Mac, Regulator, Lavon Washington, Brandon Lewis. Washington and Lewis were busts. Gardenhire was a contributor but #NothingSpecial before transferring. JoJo's gonna be a three year starter. SMFJ was a superstar. Overall not great but getting Jones and JoJo in a transition class is better than I would have expected.

2015: Jordan Miller and Ezekiel Turner. Turner's nothing special. Miller's gonna be a two year starter.

2016: Rapp Culture. Superstar. Almost doesn't count since we? knew he was better than a 3 star from the beginning.

That's four multi year starters including two superstars out of 8 3 stars.

Obviously the other component is Lake's development. But the dude has a serious eye for 3 star talent. Hopefully Hampton gets at least a year with him.
Here's the post I was referring to when discussing Fabriculanana. Thanks to the dumbass recruiting services keeping Hampton at a 3, this list is only going to get more impressive.

Agreed, he made a pretty nice jump his senior year. Solid but unspectacular.

Doesn't really change the overall calculus much though. Lake's odds of making a 3 star into a multiple year starter (or better) are pretty damn good. Especially when you consider all of the duds were in the transition class when he clearly couldn't be as selective as he can now.

In his last four signed classes he's taken 4 3 stars: Jordan Miller, Ezekiel Turner, Taylor Rapp and Dominic Hampton.

I like Hampton and Kamren F's chances a lot.

They gave Myles Bryant a scholarship before playing a down so you have to count him too
