Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Chinspired by the blues poast, what's your favorite solo? To me, this one is the absolute essence of rock and roll. It's pure sonic domination complete with mascara and women losing their god damned minds. All this with like 4 notes and feedback... The true example of less is more, transcendent.

And as far as Steeley Dan goes, the Kid Charlemagne solo is much better, as is My Old School...
Plus, the song kicks fucking ass and is way underrated. The solo starts around 2:35.

This one also has a great solo - starts at about 3:25 - and could be AC/DC's best song.

Do I like AC/DC?
Yes.
So fucking what?

Not sure I'd pick (spoiler) Stairway to Heaven over Eruption. Eddie is the fucking man.
One and November Rain in the top ten? Fuck off.

Royal Scam is my favorite Steely Dan album - letting the vinyl play over and over while tripping kind of burned it into my soul...
Was disappointed by Aja, thought it was too smooth and lacked the reckless abandon of Royal Scam - though Deacon Blues is cool
Decades ago I loved Hendrix Band Of Gypsies, think I left that vinyl playing repeatedly for about 6 months
Tastes change though...and I'm a musical schizoid - really into Eric Dolphy's bass clarinet stuff now, maybe slightly further out than Coltrane
They don't often include a solo but when they do its great
