From Oregon Board:
"In a UW article, Who's left on Washington's board, the author states that Oregon now appears the team to beat for Kyle Ford. Any thoughts or info on this? Go Ducks!!"
MattPrehm - "I don't think it is safe yet to say Oregon is the team to beat by themselves. Oregon knows they are in there with the best of them, but they aren't the clear favorite yet. Oregon has a lot of playing time to offer for Ford and he's liked the staff. It's going to come down to where he sees making the bigger impact quicker and then sustained impact."
Biggins on UW Board:
"Ask me after this weekend. UW leads right now but he has his SC visit this weekend and I want to see where he’s at following that trip. He could be blown away or not moved at all. Doing this 20+ years, I’ve seen this movie before where SC looks out of it for a local kid and then rallies late to steal him so I think it’s sfill up in the air until the visit."
From the Athletic:
Ford’s parents will be relied on heavily throughout the next few weeks. Dan said they speak about the process daily, and he tries to emphasize life after football to Kyle. The two can talk about things and Dan will kind of know what Kyle’s thinking and why, but he contends his son can be a hard read with certain things.
This legitimately seems like the biggest toss up. No one knows what Kyle is thinking, and he's keeping it close to the vest.
That said like others have noted he tends to talk in detail about the UW program, built for life, OKG, friends on the team, Eason, no WR like him, wearing a UW hat during the interview with the Athletic.... It just feels like he will be UW's. -
So I can't think of a WR of this level we've had under peterman. I don't think we have one currently on our roster either. If he has the playbook smarts, I could see PT next year. He is that good!Woof said:It may have been the Athletic article that said Ford will not go where Bru McCoy goes. That pretty much rules out USC. Everything I see from him points more toward UW than UO, with the lone exception being early PT.
His recruitment feels like Irvin's last year, where I was nervously optimistic about our chances for 3 months. History tells me to not expect good things in these situations, but I think we are probably favorites to land him. -

It’s the fucking worse. Repeat after me: He’s going to USC. Kliff is going to turn him into Jerry Rice.HillsboroDuck said:This is the first time I've legitimately let myself think we have a shot with this guy.
Fuck you all. -
John Ross was the best player in the conference in 2016, Ford has a ways to go before he gets to that level.dirtysouwfdawg said:

He's much, much more refined coming in than Ross was though. But I'm hearing that adds nothing to his value. -
I just mentioned PT, not the best player in the conference... is that you ballz?HillsboroDuck said:
