Cher's real name is Cherilyn Sarkisian. I found this out by my daughter saying how old is she? I tell her and she says ewwww.

More research.

Cher's dad is from Armenia and Steve's dad is from Tehran, Iran. Steve's family moved from Massachusetts and Cher's family is from El Centro.

El Centro has no connection to El Camino where Steve Sarkisian made good as an All-American JC QB after failing as a middle infielder at USC.

Sark went on to win the Sammy Baugh Award and led BYU to a 14-1 record in his senior year. Sark played 3 years for the Roughriders in the CFL before becoming QB coach at El Camino JC.

Sark worked with Norm Chow at BYU.

Cher worked as a backup singer for Phil Spector. Darlene Love, Sonny Bono and Cher sang the back up on, "Be my baby."

I have no proof whatsoever that Cherilyn Sarkisian and Steve Sarkisian are related. But they are both good singers, so who knows.

Coach Sark has been singing, "Baby Don't Go," to USC's juniors the last couple of weeks, but not many are listening.

Sonny and Cher released the same song as a B side in 1964 and it flopped. But released it again in 1965 where it rose to #8, which is higher than USC's current ranking of #25.
