Last year when me and @koopdog were up at Mount Rainier, we were talking about Seattle sportswriters past and present. Koop referred to Jerry Brewer's writing as "squishy".

I just spent five irretrievable minutes of my life reading the latest Matt Caulkins drivel. And the only word coming to mind is "fluffy".

Brewer advocated for Ty's return more than nearly anyone. Few are worse than Brewer.

I realize to some that may sound like sour grapes on my part, but it really isn't. When Brewer left and Caulkins was hired, I was hopeful that we would finally have somebody fun and insightful to read.
