I like the move to LB. Turner doesn't have the feet for a safety but could be effective as a LB. Could see Isaiah Gilcrist moving to safety.

He's 5'10 200. Bigger than Budda. I think he's a better fit at free safety than corner. Took over from Budda at Bellevue and I could see the same thing happening at UW.

I think he still ends up as a backup safety. This could be just an experiment, who knows. We are pretty light at the position.

Yeah once he weighed in at 199 as a true freshman, I expected it. He even mentioned some schools wanting him at safety during interviews.

He was effective in coming up and stopping the run but incredibly vulnerable in coverage. The move to LB makes sense as he he'll be put in more situations that exploit his strength. He's a violent hitter.

I'm sure I'll get slaughtered for this but the walk on Myles Bryant tested really well in the combine and played as a true freshman. I really like his tape coming out of high school. He could be a depth guy at corner.

I've been asking Amandre Williams' dad if he has any eligibility left but he recently blocked me on FB. Maybe it was a mistake and he'll answer me soon

On the one hand, you have 2 spots up for grabs at LB and maybe the coaches think Turner could be the best of the bunch at one of those positions.

On the other hand, Mason Stone is now one the backup safetys. I'm assuming a couple guys are going to be moved to safety - Gilchrist likely being one of them.

I think its also an endorsement from the staff that they think Gilchrist, McKinney, and/or somebody else is ready.
