As much as I think we all hate it, it might matter this week.
If UW wins convincingly 31-17, looks sharp on offense, solid on defense and on special teams I don't see how the committee could possibly keep them out. it might even get them the 3 seed depending on how clemson looks in the ACCCG.

An ugly 23-20 game with some turnovers and missed FG's you open the door. Losing is obviously not an option.

UW is the better team, and if they play their A game they will almost certainly win by 10+

MOV in one game isn't going to change minds.

a lot of the committee has barely watched UW this season probably. they probably watched them play Utah which was a solid but not great performance, USC which UW sucked in, and WSU which was probably our best game of the season with Stanford. Follow up the wsu game with another convincing performance, it will make a difference

Why leave it to to the chart chance? If the opportunity to score some style points is there, it should be taken.

The Committee I'm about 99.9% sure meets at the Gaylord Texas in Grapevine, Texas ... it's an 8 pm start there.

also, you cannot argue that Ohio State beating wisconsin 59-0 in 2014 didn't make a huge difference, cause it did

It helped ... but I'm not sure it was the deciding factor ...

    1) Brand name of Ohio St versus choosing between TCU and Baylor
    2) Eye test told committee that TCU was better than Baylor
    3) Baylor beat TCU
    4) Baylor and TCU shared the Big 12 championship

Putting Ohio State 4 allowed TCU to be slotted behind Baylor in a way that nobody could give 2 shits about ... 5 or 6 meant that you missed out. Ohio State won a clear cut conference championship. TCU/Baylor didn't.

Now, what will be interesting this year is how that same logic plays out with Ohio State not even being in a position to play for the Big 10 title.

If UW wins they are in.

And if they aren't the whole thing is fucking bullshit and I will refuse to acknowledge the national champion this year.

    Think I am fucking around?

I don't recognize the 2011 natty on the grounds of bullshit.

    Don't push me assholes.

Oh come on...rematching two teams from the same conference isn't totally fabricated and an invention of ESPN and CBS

I think we're pretty safe. The media and Barry Alvarez have hard-ons for Wiskahnsin big time. There's a chance they could leap frog if we look really sloppy and win by three while they blow out State Penn by 40. It's stupid but they'll find some way to justify it by nerdy algorithms that only professors and NASA engineers understand.

had they given LSU a second shot given their wins at WV and vs Oregon I wouldn't have had a problem.

Giving Bama a second shot after they lost to LSU at home was absolutely corrupt and retarded.

I'm cool with running up the score, but it won't matter.

Also true ... Baylor had no business winning that game ... but they did ... if TCU didn't blow a 3 score lead in the 4th quarter they would have been probably the 2 seed.
