DTs and WRs.

Just scanned the roster. Currently we 13 WRs and 6 DTs.

Out of the 6 DTs, all but two of them (Damien Turpin, Elijah Qualls) are either juniors or seniors.

Fun times ahead.

The OL is going to be a fucking dreckfest after 2014 too.

Sark built this program to peak so that he could get the fuck out for a better job.

If you were to poast this on doucheman.com, Kim's immediate response would be that Sark and Wilcox are building this team to defend spread option offenses and you don't really need that many DTs to accomplish that.

Wow. What a clever idea. Hopefully alabama doesn't catch on!

Going to be hard to peak in 2014 without Price, Parker, and possibly ASJ (LOL), Sankey, and Shelton. This was the year, as we had Price, and Sark has already fucked it up. But yeah, he will take off somewhere else if he miracles 10-3 (money is still on 7-6 or 8-5).

True, the experts at doogman.com would not only say that, but preach it. However, a good (Wilcox) defense against the spread-option requires a rotation of at least three DT's who must be as good as or better athletes at the DT position that any of the offensive linemen they'll face across the line of scrimmage. To have three such DT's that are sophomore, junior, and senior class in eligibility, any program worth spit should have no less that three freshmen including RS class in development.

It takes more than talent and experience at DT to have a strong defensive front against any kind of collegiate offense. It also requires depth to have adequate rotation, especially against the hurry-up spread. The freshmen on our roster may turn out to be good enough in the future, but the only true DT we have on the field at present is #71 and he's not quite what's needed in the 3-4 and variations to be effective against the spread-option. The big guy is okay against the run, but has little or no pass-rush skills...... and there's virtually nobody in the depth backing him up.
