    I watched the game on TV. It was cold and snow on the ground. The Huskies came out very flat and looked like they were going to just fall over and win. Given NO, ZERO chance, Oregon State showed up and seized the moment, got some breaks and won. That's all I remember.

    Who was that guy Rudzis, Rudzitas? A PI reporter? I thought he was the one who called out OSU as an embarrassment to the PAC-10 and should be kicked out altogether of the conference.

    I don't have clear recollections of 85-87, but I was a Freshman in 88 and that team sucked, especially on offense.

    Cary Conklin was a terrible QB, even if he was physically talented. And I don't recall a single difference maker at a skill position.

    Steve Rudman, and you're right, he did call for that.

    We opened the 86 season by prison raping Ohio State 40-7 and BYU 52-21. Both those teams were top 10 at the time. Then we just became mediocre again and ended up getting routed by Alabama in the Sun Bowl.
