    That's part of it. Another aspect is that it's tough to get motivated for a game you know is gonna be over after 2 minutes. Taking anything away, good or bad, from fcs scrimmages is a waste of time

    Getting it done when it's easy shows more than not getting it done when it's easy. No one was saying they couldn't get it done - just that they hadn't shown they could and that uncertainty remained. Pretty basic stuff.

    I think they showed they can run the ball later in last season when they tried. it was more the passing game and coaching that needed to be proven. pretending like we were gonna regress running the ball from last year based on a couple of scrimmages seemed silly to me
