Running backs don't win championships anymore. Neither LSU or Oregon has done shit with these fine young men

And Alabama would have title without Henry.
They might have. Who was the last RB from Alabama that didn't dominate?

If they didn't have Henry, they would have had another guy who was close to as good.

The Jaydon Mickens of Alabama, He only averaged 4.6 yards a carry. Pussy. I'm hearing instead of putting his head down for those extra yards he'd run out of bounds.
5 reasons your poast was flagged:

    1. Shaun Alexander may be a pussy but that pussy is a multiple time probe owler, and All Pro who and once won an NFL MVP. He gained nearly 11,000 yards from scrimmage and scored 12 more NFL touchdowns than Steve Largent ever did. Jadyon Mickens is a scrub who has not made an NFL roster. Comparing them is beyond FS.

    2. Alexander played behind a Mike Damone Dubose era Crimson Tide OL, not the Nick Saban era BAMA OL. The two have nothing in common.

    3. You used ypc as the basis of your argument about a RB. @Dennis_DeYoung is angry.

    4. His ypc in college was actually 4.9, not 4.6. At least get your shit stats correct.

    5. Speed, Speed, Speed, Ossai, 34-17 rather easily, yadda, yadda, yadda

1- The question was, who was the last Alabama RB that didn't dominate. Since Alexander left, Alabama leading rushers (total rushing yards each year) have averaged 5.5 ypc, not including D. Harris, currently @ 9.2T
    2- Even during the Mike Shula years (10-23) Alabama's leading rushers averaged 4.8 ypc( 4.8, 5.2, 4.0, 5.0)
3- Fuck DDY - I used ypc for the team's leading rusher in total yards.
4- Alexander averaged 4.6 npc in his Soph./Junior/Senior years. The question was "who was the last Alabama back that didn't dominate."

5- Alexander couldn't carry Ossai's jockstrap. Alexander is a pussy. He had Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson blocking for him and still ran like a twat. He consistently ran out of bounds. He ran like a bitch in the playoffs (3.3 ypc on 163 attempts) He didn't win a Super Bowl. He whined when he lost the rushing title to Curtis Martin, calling out the coaches for not giving him enough carries. He whined when Seattle didn't give him a new contract. He looked gay waving the towel. He raised the 12th man flag. FTG

Alexander scored 23 touchdowns his senior year. He dominated.

There have been Alabama lead RB's after him that didn't dominate starting with Ahmad Galloway the next two years or Kenneth Darby in 2004. Unless you're the one person who thinks 4.8 ypc for 1062 rushing yards and just over 1100 yards from scrimmage with 9 tds is more dominant than 4.6 ypc with 1383 rushing yards with over 1700 yards from scrimmage and 23 tds. Or maybe you prefer Darby's 2006 with 835 yards and 4.0 ypc and 1 total TD. I didn't bother going past that point because your argument is pretty much obliterated at that point.

Alexander might be a pussy but he was one dominant pussy. He's not the answer to the last Alabama RB who didn't dominate. He did dominate. And others since then didn't.

    honk em
Any RB that gets the rock 300 times in a season should rack up yards and score TD's. Grandpa Sankey's grandson rushed for 1827 yes (5.7 npc) and scored 21 td's his senior year, 1427yds (5.0) and 16 TD's the year before - only 4 fewer than Alexander over a 2-yr period. Unlike, Alexander, Sankey didn't have all conference lineman, and future all-pros, opening holes for him.

Look up any RB that gets the ball 300 times, you'll find most if not all accumulate a lot of yards and average 5 or more yds per carry. So yes, Alexander got his yards but pussed his way into them. Alexander should be a first ballet Hall of Pussy inductee.

You compared the guy who is number 4 in scoring in SEC history to Jaydon Mickens.

    We done here?

I get the Alexander hate after his end with the HAWKS and his support of Ty, but Alexander was a big part of the building of the first Super Bowl losing team in Seattle and he was quite loved when setting records and shit.

He played at Bama when Bama sucked. No one cares.

So from the 80's we have Bo Jackson, Hershall Walker, Dickerson, Barry Sanders, and Emmitt Smith? All once a decade guys.

Alexander was a pussy. Walter Jones and Hutchinson were dominant lineman. That team converted probably 90% of 3rd and one plays.

Franco Harris was a pussy with 4 rings

So what? Alexander was a big part of the run for the Hawks. Who cares if he was a pussy

His backup is pretty good and isnt putting the NFL above the team. Never saw Herschel Walker sitting out a game with a sore ankle.

The Walker comparison is valid. Fournette is a once-in-a-decade tailback like Walker, Bo Jackson, Eric Dickerson type. But he's the only one who rests on his laurels. Bench his worthless ass.

No reason for Fournette to play in college anymore....people in NFL know who he is. He should just quit school and run train on LSU coeds.
    Crisped.
