I didn't get it either until DJ said he hoped to expand our appeal (lulz) by bringing in a wider audience to the debauchery. Half you fags should love this because maybe some Bama fans will hear about us and end up here so you can circle jerk with them.
edit: I'm looking at you such fag J
I hear Tennessee fans are dying to share a message board with people who can't stop talking about how good Alabama is.
To be fair everyone who has eyes and isn't criminally non objective is talking about how good they are.
You know, Alabama was on my mind yesterday in the 1st quarter. I was watching our shittastic OL get pushed around by Idaho and thinking, you know what, no matter how we do this year our OL would get prison raped by a Bama level DL. I mean absolutely fucking mauled. Sure, our losers got it together by the second quarter and didn't look functionally retarded, but no objective person could say this OL could stand up to a serious prison yard DL. Ergo, our absolute ceiling would be winning the Pac12. That OL in the playoff would get napalmed.
So the thing is, if things actually continue at this rate, I think if we managed to make it to the playoff, we could win the first round with the right matchup. Bama would blow us to smithereens but say we face Florida State or something, I think we could hang with them, assuming we've actually gotten it together enough to make it to the playoff in the first place. But yeah, we're not there yet. Our OL is a glaring deficiency. Strausser was one of the coaches I was most excited about too when Petersen was hired. Alas.
Even talking like this we are way out in front of our skiis because I still have Dick Rod sticking it in followed by the Tree absolutely railing us. But, if let's say we actually become Pac-12 legit and go 10-2 or whatever and somehow eeke out the North title, with that OL that is basically our ceiling. Anyone even thinking if the stars align we could be competitive at the top levels out of the Pac-12 is high, unless this OL does the best improvement job in the history of CFB. It just isn't there. It's never there. The UW OL has sucked for so long I can't even remember our last good one. Mid 90's? Fuck.
I know it's trendy among HHBs to say Dick Rod is going to plunger us but Arizona is fucking awful.
They have one QB who can't throw and another who can't run because his skull is an eggshell. They have one WR over 5'8" and they don't use the TE. Their OL sucked- and then their starting center sold his couch eternal. Which is a problem because they lineup exclusively in the shotgun.
Their defense is a typical Rich Rod defense except without Scooby. They still start a 260 lb walk-on at DT. Their best corner plays WR. Their best DE couldn't stop smoking the reefer and is now sleeping with the fishes.
Haven't won there since 2006. Until it actually happens I expect the worst.
Who cares? Connect the dots- why does this matter in 2016?
If anyone wants to go through a position by position analysis of how much Arizona sucks or if anyone wants to back up their bullshit with $$$ let me know but otherwise I'm out because it's impossible to argue against platitudes like "we suck until we don't" and "I'll believe it when I see it."
We* will be a heavy favorite to win on 9/24- 90% or more- and I will be there to see it.
Remember to lock your kids in your car.
I flush my kids down the toilet every morning but thanks for the advice.

Oh, don't get me wrong we should absolutely drill those fucks. But, I subscribe to the Race approved mantra that we suck until we don't. If the last 15 years taught me anything, it's to expect the worst. If we go down there and drill them by 20, then follow that up by beating Stanford, I will put a foot on the doog train. But, until then, #proveit.
Well that's what I mean when I say it's a trendy on this site to take that position.
Even if you subscribe to that "theory" then Arizona sucks worse then UW until they don't.
And don't get me wrong, I know we've improved tremendously in a lot of ways and I think we will easily win more than 7 games this year. We just aren't there yet and while I am really very happy about a lot of aspects of the program and do some dooging of my own, I know rationally there are still serious concerns to be addressed. It's early so there is a lot of uncertainty, even around the stuff we've seen. By the end of the season the team will have proven itself or it won't. (Either way it will be chinteresting?)
#proveit
You are the HHB Tequilla. This is just word vomit. What point are you making and what supporting evidence are you relying on?
You're right, I can't find any evidence the team has improved. My bad.
I do know the OL doesn't seem to have ascended to a competitive level yet though.
The point is I don't think this team is a hopeless abomination, which based on your typecast for example, seems to be your understanding of my views.
I don't have an understanding of your views because you won't express them simply and concisely.
I actually think it would be more entertaining and in the HHB spirit if you discussed them with no knowledge of the team or staff. Making it satirical would get more of us and probably Tenn fans
And before anyone puts words in my mouth about the above post, I would be on the doog train for winning the Pac12...which would make me happy tbh. But, my original point still stands. I believe the Pac12 is our ceiling with what I have seen from the OL. And winning the Pac12, while a super encouraging sign, is still sort of like fucking your sister. I mean, you got laid, which is cool, but your sister is probably ugly as fuck.
I had an erotic dream about my sister once. I woke up questioning my existence
I had the same dream about your sister and woke up with a giant raging boner.

I guess I find it odd of you to disagree with my views if you don't understand them.
View: In most cases it takes three years of performance to evaluate a coach.
View: This team has improved in many ways but has other serious deficiencies. Examples: Improved defense, OL is not top-tier.
View: If I believe something is deficient I need a reason to change that view. Examples: Improved play on the field or successful analogs (e.g. IF the DBs play poorly at the beginning of next season I would expect the to improve given the current staff's success at coaching DBs)
View: If our offense, which is deficient in my opinion, doesn't improve then we may not be able to achieve a successful season.
View: 10 wins is the minimum threshold for success this year based on our schedule.
View: Chris Petersen has not yet shown he can make UW a championship caliber program.
View: The results by the end of the season may suggest Chris Petersen is incapable of doing what is necessary to make this a championship caliber program.

We talked about debuting the show by demanding that Butch Jones be fired.
