I wasn't worried about our run game after Rutgers, because they were playing to stop the run, but...

We shouldn't be taking the 1st team offense out of the games until we have at least 200 yards on the ground against these teams.
Awesome that we have a passing game, but that isn't going to win the Pac 12 North.
Screw putting the reserves in the game until we have established a dominant fucking running game.

It will he fine, and the moment we start chipping off 4 or 5 yard runs, 50 yard td to ross, mcclatcher, or pettis
Or we just suck
Either way, weird we are in the top 10 -
Running game was fine against Idaho. 59-14. Go outside and play.

Look, let's call a spade a spade. That O-line is weak and fagot. Luckily the pac12 is mostly dog shit.

If you listen to Hugh and Baird, this is the best OL we've had in years. Baird thinks it's just s "timing thing."
Foolish drunk. -
Baird just needs more time to explain it for you.MelloDawg said:If you listen to Hugh and Baird, this is the best OL we've had in years. Baird thinks it's just s "timing thing."

Yes, I care that we can't establish a dominant running game in these scrimmage games. These are the games where we should be dominating -- the fact we can't is concerning.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Anything less than 200 yards on the ground against Idaho is not fine.Gladstone said:Running game was fine against Idaho. 59-14. Go outside and play.

Gaskin averaged 5.6 ypc and Dotson averaged 6 ypc. If they really wanted to, they could've kept the 1st team OL in there and given Gaskin more carries to get to 200 yards but he's not the biggest guy and it's a long season.
I'd be more concerned about the outside pass-rush. Gains and Qualls can't do it all by themselves (Vea had 1.5 sacks today too).

And what if our passing game is way better than our running game? Will you guys get pissed to if we pass for 400+ yards a game if we only rush 80?
-
They can rush for 1 yard and pass for 10 as long as they go 13-0
-
I'll wait until we actually play a game to draw any conclusions

Yes because every good defense will just play to defend the pass, since our running game is so fucking shitty they won't have to worry about it.CuntWaffle said:And what if our passing game is way better than our running game? The whole Rutgers played to stop the run is doog excuse shit. It shouldn't matter if Rutgers put all 11 men in the box, you should still be able to run.

I have no comment

If you had said before the season we'd be 2-0 with combined score of 107-27, even vs these teams, we'd have been happy.
Would I like 10 YPC? Yes. I'd also like shutouts.
But it's not going to be perfect.
The good news is that in yr 3 it's hard to argue that we're on the wrong path with Peterman.
Only question is how far he can take us.
