Steve Cohen has always been a poor man's Richard Pipes. A hoot at parties. Enjoyed immensely his work a few years ago when he blasted the entire Maidan movement in Kiev as being a bunch of unreformed fascist Banderites.
He is right that we need a more coherent and cohesive Russia policy, which is something we really haven't had since Russia's independence. His problem is that he frequently veers into the territory of being an unabashed aplologist for Russia, instead of being FAIR AND BALANCED -
