As a UW alumn and rabid Husky fan, I'm always wary when the Dawgs get a lot of pre-season hype. Even back in the Don James era, they always seemed to perform best when they were under-estimated, and under-performed when coming into the season highly ranked.
That being said, this year they seem poised to do well. Browning and Gaskin certainly both displayed great potential last year. Having a solid QB and 4 down RB is a good starting point. The Defense returns 7 starters from a unit that led the PAC-12. And the schedule is very favorable, all NONCONF games are winnable, we dodge UCLA, and get USC at home.
Stay free of the injury bug, win that dog-gone road game at Autzen this year, and show the country that we're back! GO DAWGS!!!"

1927? Try a bit earlier than that. Nobody knows this, but the only article I have ever penned for HH was all done from interview notes I took after a meeting with Race, the only living person who saw Billy Goodman live in 1892:

I'm hearing Enoch Bagshaw ripped out the Race Bannon page of the program at the signing day banquet, they thought they had him right up til the end!
