He nearly got killed going over the middle earlier in the first half, and was a complete non factor afterwards. Marks played and had a TD pass in the Sun Bowl in DECEMBER for kreissakes. I've never seen so many MurderRods over a play that put a guy out of a game because both He and the guy He hit slipped.

I remember 97 very well. Preseason top 5 team. Smacked by Nebraska. Lost to Oregon at home. Plungered by UCLA and lost the Apple Cup when Brock threw five picks. Special Aloha Bowl blowout over Michigan State.
Doogs would probably blame injuries, but Lambright was a shit coach. That's the real reason that team disappointed. -
