Should Rubio or Cruz drop out?

There's never been a truer case of abundance. Sanders OR Trump running third party is a disaster for the US and hands the election to one party of the other. Sanders AND Trump running third party saves the republic from the two party stranglehold.doogsinparadise said:
Two party system needs to go. Question is whether both parties will split in two, or if you get Socialists, Trumpists, and then a Hillary/Romney center party.greenblood said:
You're definitely correct. A brokered convention is the only path I see that the GOP can defeat Trump. If the GOP goes with that strategy, they can defeat Trump, but will probably nuke their own party. You think people are pissed now, you wait and see how pissed they'll be when Trump has 40-45% of the delegates, and the GOP takes the nomination from him. It will be the end of the GOP party.doogsinparadise said:
I'm not buying this argument. The best chance the GOP has of stopping Trump is through a brokered convention, and that becomes more likely with two contenders winning delegates than one. It's too late for a fourth candidate to get in the race until the convention.RaceBannon said:As the pundits said, Trump had a better night last night than if he won all 11. He lost enough to keep everyone in.
Rubio is jealous of his win by losing bump
Cruz has always been the threat which is why Trump left Rubio alone for so long. If the Hillary camp says they fear Rubio you know that they don't
Rooting for both parties to screw over the old, rich and white guys. -
Here's how I see it right now ...
The majority of the US more or less sit in the middle to some degree between fiscal conservatism and being liberally social.
The Democrats under Hillary and Sanders are going further and further left of center to the point of being socialists.
The Cruz angle of the party that is based on faith and the Constitution continue to take the Republicans further to the right.
Part of the reason IMO for Trump's success is that he's the one candidate that is more or less in the center ...
And Rubio's an empty suit that falls right of Trump and left of Cruz.
The sense that I'm getting from a lot of people is that none of the candidates are overly appealing (too extreme on the edges of the spectrum and Trump's too volatile) ...
There's an opportunity for a third party to emerge between the two wings at this point ... it's probably time for something like that to happen.
