I've basically given up on the idea of him winning because democrats are spineless cowards that won't actually vote for the candidate that best represents them. The good news in this is the more Hillary Clinton campaigns the less people want to vote for her. So whether Bernie shocks the world or we have to bring in Trump to kick her ass , this is a good thing.

There are a contingent of feminists, mostly the older ones who came of age before or during the 70s, who are hell bent on getting a woman in office no matter the integrity or scandals.

It's not a huge voting block

Has any president actually represented the people that voted them in?

Trump vs. Bernie would bring in Bloomberg. I'd like to see that.

Three shitty candidates is better than two?

I saw a Bernie sticker on the BMW of the 20 something Black female PM I had a meeting with yesterday. That's my anecdotal evidence. Hillary needs that vote.

I also saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac.

    Pics, motherfucker.

The media is full of shit.

The Bern goes away March 1.

    Cook it.

Oh he'll stick around like a case of gonorrhea so Hills can feel The Bern ... but he will cease to be a serious nomination threat.

The best possible thing for the republic is both Rubio and Hillary wining the nominations due to party shenanigans, Trump and Bernie going independent and the pissed off populace giving the establishment parties the finger with one of the crazy ole white dudes winning it all. It's the first time ever that it's conceivable for a viable third party candidate on both sides. I realize there's about a 0.000081% of this happening, but as I've given up on having a decent president in 2016 the next best thing would be the downfall of the two party system.

Sounds as if you've lost faith in the process.

Maybe not gigantic, but older, middle class people tend to vote

Bernie is running out of steam because even though most of the people who want to vote for him are idiot moochers, even they are finally starting to wise up.

At first, many Americans like the idea of "Medicare for all," a cradle-to-grave government-run health system that's a rallying cry for Sanders and other Socialists like him. BUT bring up the trade-offs, from higher taxes to giving up employer coverage, and support starts to shrivel. It especially declines if it means people have to wait longer for non-emergency treatment and if it takes longer for new / better medicine to come to market.

Medicare is a severely flawed fee-for-service model anyway. Any sensible single-payer model would actually do away with Medicare.

There's not much any real difference between Hillary and Trump. One's a loud asshole, the other an angry asshole. Histrionic comb-over vs spurned, dictator wife. Both crave attention and status above everything else. National debt is most likely going to double under both as they appease their fans and skirt deciding on important issues to remain popular.
