This staff clearly knows how to develop lineman, at least defensive lineman. Tupou going from nowhere to being 2nd team all conference, and Hudson's play the year before. Gains and Qualls took big steps also.
My hope and guess is maybe we really see it this year and next with the OL. A lot of OL guys will be going from their first to second season or second to third season. Should be ripe for some noticeable improvement. -
So we went from not developing players to reach 7-6 to developing players to reach 7-6? Does that mean that Pete is a step back from Sark in terms of game management and scheming?

If you would have told me 2 years ago that Cory Littleton was going to get an invite to the combine, I would have laughed in your face and called you the doogliest doog that ever dooged.
I already kind of hated him under Sark and it seemed inevitable that I was going to despise him with a passion by his junior year and pull a Dennis with my TV every time I saw him on TV his senior year. So for the sake of my televisions (and my sanity) I was hoping that Sark would find some more shiny new toys to play with for a couple years until I could start to hate them and continue the circle of a doog's life.
But then Peterman happened. It was the damndest thing. Players getting better? I had started to cherish a kid's freshman season because I knew it would be his best. This whole concept was extremely confusing to me. Players aren't supposed to develop and improve over time. They're supposed to get worse during the time Ivan gets a hold of 'em until they graduate or Sark drops them for a shiny new toy only to flourish in another system. But regardless of the path they took to get there, my hatred of them would usually be at a boiling point when they eventually departed. And now this shit? Cory Littleton at the combine? Travis Feeney actually improving after a promising freshman season and initially sticking to the script his sophomore year? Tani Tupou actually having a pulse? Siofissaa Toefungus starting on the OL and not wanting to vomit after every play? John Motherfucking Timu starting in the NFL by the end of his rookie season? Seriously. What the fuck is this shit? All I know is it's scaring me. Something must be wrong.

I know there's a lot of battered wife syndrome taking place here (how could there not be?) and I'm certainly included in that. But there's also a lot of twisting going on as well.
Either that, or some lack mental capacity to separate two different arguments/stances. For example, giving examples of players that I see have gotten better under Petermen's tutelage and contrasting that with players under Sark is an observation that many of us have made. But that's one fucking argument. I never made reference to Petermen as an in-game manager, as having a decided schematic advantage a la charlie weis, or simply having that "IT" factor in coaching.
I made a comment that I would have never expected Littleton to get an invite to the combine a couple years ago and gave examples of other players I felt have improved. And apparently some mis-read that as an endorsement that Petermen is going to the Rose Bowl next year.
It's like coming home from 3rd grade and telling your mom you won the spelling bee and she says "well you didn't get straight As". Well no shit...and final grades aren't given out for 10 more months. I just said that I won the fucking spelling bee after mis-spelling "development" the last 2 years. Has nothing to do with straight As and only a simpleton would think that's what you're implying.
Some of you need to go out and get some perspective and realize that Bleenor's best friend in the entire world passed away and he was the "king of Las Vegas". He got the Pac12 tournament to Las Vegas, got Williams-Goss to go to UW and transfer to Gonzaga, got the Huskies in the Vegas Bowl so Bleenor and Aaaaaaaandy could sit in the luxury suites, got Bobby Hauck the gig at UNLV and is really good friends with Ed O'bannon. -
UW has consistently finished in the top four of the Pac 12 North
