Oregon is desperate to win at any cost. Offering Kwietqueefski is hardly controversial or unlikely. I'd say it s rather likely they offered the best defensive coordinator in the west, since their defense was the worst in the conference and looks to be even more pathetic next year. I'm sure they talked to his people. If they offered it means they interviewed him, I would be stunned if it got to that point.

If true, I would think they would have offered him min $200k more than what he's making here, plus another 1-2 years more on the length of the contract he currently has with us.

The sense that I get from a distance is that the only way K leaves Pete is if he got an offer he couldn't refuse ... and it's not for a lateral move.
