This was a guy who almost lost his scholarship but instead of pouting he got busy in the weight room and film room and made himself a D1 player who is a big time contributor at this level. Not a natural behind the mic but he will out work you and bring a blue collar attitude to the cast. You guys should use UberConference (https://www.uberconference.com) to do the casts. It's wayyyyy better than Skype and a much smoother interface. You can juggle multiple callers at once and mute/adjust volume at the user level + a million other things.
