Before he was carted off the field and into the locker room for X-rays, Graham's offensive teammates gathered around him with emotions running high. Graham then pointed to the loud, supportive crowd, signaling that he would be OK, but history tells us this injury could cause other problems.

Victor Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon during Week 6 last season and missed the rest of the year. Between the recovery from that and a calf injury, he has yet to return. Doctors said at the time of Cruz's injury that tearing the patellar tendon is one of the worst things that can happen to a pass catcher. "It's worse than an isolated ACL," Dr. Steven Singleton of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., told Sporting News. "It takes longer to get that strength back. It would not be too uncommon to be stiff, less flexible and develop scar tissue."
