tOSU has only legit claim to #1. LSU deserves #2. No big12 team deserves so much as a passing glance. Sparty Is clear 3, Clemson #4. That's how it should be. Bama shouldnt be in top 8. ND @ 5 is a little lofty but of the 1 loss teams they and stanford are the best.
Baylor shouldnt be in top 10. Intentional soft OOC scheduleshould not be rewarded, and thankfully hasnt. TCU squeaked by Minnesota, which is their most difficult game yet.
The pac 12, the clear best conference in the land, is the only conference in danger of missing playoff every year. Too hard to get through conference undefeated or with only 1 loss. And the committee doesnt respect strength of this conference, hence losses are seen as a sign of weakness. In the SEC a loss is seen as respectable considering the overinflated image of its members.
You beat me too it. Puppy was actually making some good points until he shot that brown nugget into his shorts.
Puppy, save the outrage 5 weeks early for doogman. Try not to shoot your load before your boyfriend. I know how you two like to do everything together.
These rankings are meaningless. Bama has to win out. If Stanford or Utah win out they will likely be in.
There are rarely more than one unbeaten team, often none. Keep your panties straight and let it play out.
AND ROLL DAMN TIDE
I fully understand all of that shit race. problem is, if Bama loses they will only drop a spot or two, and they are taking the place of a undefeated Michigan State team who deserves to be ranked ahead of them. these rankings are absolutely not meaningless. It means other conferences are seen as weaker by the committee. The SEC chooses to play each other only, therefore NOBODY knows how good their members really are. Ah fuck they LOOK great against each other.
Its a huge deal that bama is ranked number 4, for a multitude of other reasons. , It sets a precedent now that the SEC gets favoritism from the committee for their week scheduling and overrated conference. I understand one of them will lose this weekend, but again neither will fall far, more deserving teams are trapped lower, and with zero chance to overcome their position. Both UA and LSU could conceivably get into the playoffs if Alabama wins. very similar to the BCS fuckup that pitted their cunts together in the bcs championship game, after one just lost .
How can another conference win the national title when the SEC is always and automatically placed to play for title?
I contend if we had a six-team playoff during the last 10 years the SEC might have won 3 titles...not a corrupt predetermined 8. So fuck you Race, it does matter that there are 2 SEC teams in the initial playoff bracket. Its pure bias. It's evident now and will be biased in the final ranking.
If Bama loses again, they are out. That's one point
Last year the rankings took a dramatic turn once the season was over and all the games had been played. What happens this week in the poll means nothing. The next to last week TCU was in. Then they weren't.
The final 4 will be one loss teams. If Stanford can't win out they are out same as Bama.
One conference will be left out since there are 5 power conferences and 4 spots. If Clemson isn't unbeaten Stanford will get in ahead of them leaving the ACC out.
If you have 5 champions at 12-1, one league will be butt hurt in a major way. And in that scenario the SEC will be in for sure. Because its the best league
If the SEC champ is 11-2 and the others are 12-1 the SEC stays home.
If Stanford and Utah were undefeated they'd probably both be in the fucking playoff right now.
But they choked
Fuck off
Bama didnt choke to ole miss (who has 2 losses and 1 to an AAC team, at home)? Losing to USC, who has twice the athletes and an all american type senior qb, is hardly choking. Losing game 1, an early kickoff to an upstart Fitzgerald-coached big 10 team, across the country, is hardly choking either.
Proof your shit before you send it to puppy.
It's Northwestern.
Utah got smoked by a 3-loss USC team. If it was kinda close, I'd say they should be higher but it wasn't.
The only teams to bitch about are Bama higher than Florida and tOSU in the top 4. tOSU doesn't have an impressive win, has struggled against shitty opponents but they're undefeated.

I would love to see this theory tested. Not sure it's the slam dunk you think it is.

Northwestern lost 38-0 to Michigan and 40-10 to Iowa. But why do SEC hatters hate facts?
