Down 42-16 against 1-6 Purdue in the 3rd.
This is a team that lost to Marshall and Bowling Green. Purdue hasn't scored more than 28 points against a Power 5 team all year.

I understand that it's just Year 1, but losing six (if Purdue holds on) by the end of October isn't going to sit well in Lincoln. Michigan St. and Iowa both await.
I still don't understand this hire. He's 62 and carried little better than a mediocre record to Nebraska. -

If Nebraska comes back and wins, a bad AD would fire him at the 50 yard line for being down 42-16 to Purdue. A real AD would have never hired him in the first place. Eichorst is a Pat HadenFS AD.
