My Biggest Petersen Concern

whuggywhuggy Member Posts: 2,088
Not getting it done in crunch time.
I thought we were hiring a guy that
would make that subtle positive difference
that turns a 50-50 game into a positive
result. I have him at 0 for 5 now in either
way games. UA, ASU, and Stanford last year.
Boise and Cal this year. That is not a closer
in my eyes. Gotta wonder if he has lost some
of his chops.

This entire program is a mess from the top to the bottom. Woody has done nothing to change the expectations and thus, 15 years later, we are not worth the effort hard core fans put forth. Sadly for DJ, I have to say that I'm done with spending money for a long time on the Dogs, and it will impact some people like him. Sorry dude.

Hated the hire before we saw 15 games of this dreck offensive strategy.

Wish I... we were all wrong.

The most concerning is that glaring turd burger called the offense. This is Peterman's team, and that is his supposed expertise, but he has @TheGlove coaching his QB's and coordinating his offense. I see improvement in other areas, but he needs to go if he doesn't get the offense fixed.

    100% with you. Who kidnapped
the Boise St. Petersen? He joined the
Pac 12 and instantly became a puckered
up version of himself. Fuck, bring back
some of that creativity we were all expecting
    when UW made the hire.

15 games is the standard by which people know if the coach is the guy or not

    not looking good

Michigan, Stanford and the 49ers agree

At Boise he was in a total of about 4 or 5 50/50 games. If you thought you were getting a coach that could push a team over the top to get a win other coaches wouldn't. You didn't. Ts and Ps though.

    once a generation coach

also Stanford knocked off #1 USC as a 41 pt underdog year 1

they by year 2 could run the ball and had an identity as a physical, borderline dirty team

keep saying Petersen is harbaugh though

You know Coog you might just be right.
Did a little research of Petersen against
    comparable or better opponents.

    2006-W-Oklahoma
    2007-L-East Carolina L-Washington L-Hawaii
    2008-W-Oregon L-TCU
    2009-W-Oregon W-TCU
    2010-W-Va Tech L-Nevada W-Utah
    2011-W-Georgia L-TCU W-ASU
    2012-L-Mich. St. W-Wash.
    2013-L-Wash. L-Fresno St. L-Oregon St.

Pretty quick looking up the facts and I
don't guarantee accuracy but nothing special
about those results. We might have just gone and
    hired ourselves a .500 coach.

As a Power 5 coach.... he sucks.

He'll get more time but that doesn't refute what has been shown thus far.

It's extremely annoying he is letting this guy learn on the job. The PAC12 should not be your first stop as an OC.

    Peterman went 92-12.

Got there by walking into a program that has massive support and was already established.

I think we just need to calm down and realize we have to give Peterman the same patience that VA Tech gave Frank Beamer.

A seven year plan to win the Independence Bowl is something we can all be proud of.
