A few positives in the midst of that dreck

1. JoJo Mathis is a fucking man.
2. Defense really turned it around after halftime. Very impressive performance after getting their shit pushed in all first half.
3. We play damn good special teams, missed FG aside. This is probably the thing I like the most about Petersen at this point.
4. Browning might be good one day. He sucks right now though. I think (hope) he'll improve significantly as the year goes on.
5. The team showed grit and fight.

Negatives are too many to list and it's 1 am here so I'm going to bed. #FireSmith

As I said a month ago, Dwayne Washington (and the rest of the running game) would be the deciding factor in this game. Our workhorse RB getting like 19 yards on 12 carries is the reason we lost, pure and simple.

    14 yards on 8 carries*

Yeah I don't see that at all. Washington didn't do anything special, but the OL didn't open up much of anything for him or the other backs either. I'm not excited about Washington's performance but I'd probably not even put him in the top 10 of people to blame.

I'd put the total inability to run as #1 on the list. Puts even more pressure on a freshmen QB and babushka.

I agree with that, but I don't put the inability to run on Washington. He's a below average back, but he can run when he has a hole. The OL didn't produce more than one or two all night. So that's 5 bigger culprits right there. Then add Petersen and Smith and Mickens and the list is expanding pretty quickly. Maybe D Wash comes in #9 or 10, but no higher. And that depends on where you put Daniels, Browning, Durkee and Van Tinkle.

They are still pussies, but they are a lot tougher than Sark's teams. They didn't fold and fought back to get in the game.

The negative was that the game was very similar to our close losses from last year.

We weren't down by 16 on the road to anyone last year with a chance to win it or tie it at the end.

True, but none of those teams last year tried to give the game away either.

I understand that the defense and special teams were bright spots. But the offense is so bad, it makes the team a loser. Let's face it, there was not one thing positive about this offense. UW can't win with this offense, simple as that.

If the game goes to OT, I like UW's chances to win

    Ok, I'm wrong. ...

Three possessions inside the 30 and they get 6 points. UW didn't have a scoring drive longer than about 15 yards. They have the talent, but the coaching on the offensive side of the ball is terrible.

But I don't know what I'm talking about.

If they make that kick late, would you have any faith that they'd score a TD in overtime?

If so then, you are a massive doog. Because the offense showed nothing tonight. It should be unacceptable.

    You're better than this.
Better or worse than oregon's offense 2009 at Boise?

I mean, granted, that Boise team went undefeated and won the fiesta bowl, but still:
    Passing: Jeremiah Masoli 14/27 121 4.5 0 1
    Rushing: 17att 31yds 1.8avg 1TD 17LG
    Total Yards: 152
