WOW! Didn't see that coming

This was a complete win something I don't think we've seen from the Sark era.

The offense was just terrific with Price leading the way. I liked how Sark stuck with the run as well and found a way to negate their pass rush. He also mixed in RB's beautifully.

The defense was incredible. Great job of tackling, no YAC's at all on the receivers. Greg Ducre was lights out!

Special teams had a good return by Ross, also blocked a FG as well.

I'm not going to make a judgement on the season until Sark beats a good team at home but damn this felt really good!

2009 Cal game. They punked a ranked opponent and looked like a well oiled machine doing it. I'm enjoying this win, but also recognize that it could be a total head fake. We'll know a lot more when they play Arizona and Stanford.

I hear you. I know Illinois sucks, but if we plunger them, I will start to believe we could be a 9-10 win team. Last year, we couldn't even plunger Cal, Colorado, or WSU. I will feel much better about winning 1 or 2 of the conference road games if we plunger Illinois.

Agreed RoadDawg. Illinois will tell us a lot.

Arizona will tell us a lot. If we take care of business vs. Illinois and manage to beat Arizona, I will look toward the Stanford/Oregon games with the thought that maybe just maybe we have a Jim Carey's chance to win.

The Retake Montlake sign on the field was probably the turning point IMO.

Ross is fast, he'll break a few returns for TDs this year. CBs looked real good. Sankey 25 carries = 161 yards. Wilcox is a top DC. Mickens 9 catches for 109.

That was a well-played game. . .much more than I expected for an opener. The defense looked like they really had improved coverage technique. Sark mixed it up well on offense. The stadium looked great. Hell, the purple and gold even looked like it matched.

Defense failed to get real pressure on the quarterback and on offense, the inside zone was a disaster at times. And this was against a MWC team. They still have a lot of work to do.

We have two weeks to bring up the negatives of the game. Tonight let's enjoy the win and be happy the Huskies won 38-6 over a "ranked" team.

Oh, I'm enjoying it, just pointing out that this win does come with some qualifiers.
