Jack's rookie deal: 4 year, $12,586,002 contract with the Tennessee Titans, including a $7,653,456 signing bonus, $12,586,002 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $3,146,501.DerekJohnson said:

The #8 choice the year before (Rolando McClain's) rookie deal: $23 million guaranteed on a five-year, $40 million deal.
It was well known that rookie deals were going to be one of the big changes in the new CBA and going to the draft in 2010 was going to be far more lucrative. Plus he certainly wouldn't have been drafted lower than 8th and possibly higher, as he didn't do anything better as a senior than as a junior. -
So the boy from Ferndale got 19 million guaranteed instead of 23 million guaranteed.dnc said:

You mean 12 million instead of 23 million. The signing bonus is part of the 12 million. hthtopdawgnc said:

There's no telling what the Rams would have done. My gut says they were going to pick Bradford, but Jake Walked away from a lot of cash for the Holiday Bowl Championship. It doesn't really matter much because he's made a fortune any way you slice it, but knowing he would retire at such a young age shows that he was better off getting that fat chunk out the gate instead of banking on the second explosive contract.
