Also Mathis saying he knows he's going to get yelled at, but it's for the good of the team. Wtf were the old coaches doing? I thought all football coaches, especially position coaches yelled.

Hate is such a strong word. I would say I was nonplussed.
This doesn't make much sense to me because he's our most important player on defense. Why would they risk injury playing him @ RB, especially with the FR coming in?
Carta-Samuels led the only obvious TD with the second-team defense. He opened the drive with a 9-yard scramble and later and a QB keeper close to the goal line, on a play in which true freshman LB Tevis Bartlett knocked KJCS down by the goal line. Two plays later, KJCS rolled out and threw a 3-yard TD pass to true freshman Isaiah Renfro, who made a nice play to keep both feet in bounds while hauling in the catch.
