I'm hearing that some big time boosters think Sark inherited a bare cupboard.

I bet that team has more NFL players on it than this current team. It's pretty damn close.MikeDamone said:That's the attitude that justifies Sark really only in he second year. I can see the common doog believing this, but when the ubers and wanna be pretend ubers believ this shit, we are fucked even more.
Allow me to remind everyone Sark's bare cupboard one more time:
Here are some of the "Bare Cupboard" 2009 key returning players
Jake Locker (8th pick first round)
Chris Polk (Legit top 5 back in the history of UW, maybe even #2)
Nate Williams (Not drafted but invited to NFL camps)
Donald Butler ( 3rd Round draft pick)
Devin Aguilar (signed as a free agent)
Jermaine Kearse (signed as a free agent)
Erik Folk (signed as a free agent)
Mason Foster (3rd Round draft pick)
Senio Kelemete (4th Round draft pick)
Daniel Te'o-Nesheim (3rd Round draft pick)
Alameda Ta'amu (4th Round draft pick)
Plus there were a number of pretty solid D1 players.
Damone is right, if we had a real coach and not some guy learning on the job that first year UW is a bowl team. Year two the real coach probably realizes Jack can only run and can't throw and would utilize that plus Polk from the get go.
By year four the plunger rapings would have stopped, so would the piss poor road performances and we'd be ranked right now. We'd also be able to say with a straight face we expect a Rose Bowl. -

So Ty was a good recruiter?

Don't forget to include Price and Middleton in the All Bare-Cupboard Team. Goodwin, Boyce and Sylvester also hung around a while on NFL practice squads.

Forcing Lockner into being a pocket passer to prove some NFL QB kingmaker fantasy was the stupidest fucking thing ever.He_Needs_More_Time said:

Imagine if Chip Kelly had Jack running his defense? -
We pretty much had a low-budget version of Lockner in 2009... Jeremiah Masoli.

Could you imagine if Rick had done that with Tui? Instead of winning a Rose Bowl and popping off UW goes 7-5.ThomasFremont said:

Rick LIED about a job with the 49'ers. Plus he was in HOT WATER with the Coaches Association.He_Needs_More_Time said:

He should have.

New money without tasting success. If you have new money, you understand success. Mark Cuban disagrees with you.puppylove_sugarsteel said:
Sark's best fucking team was the bare cupboard team. Fuck off and put this shit to rest. And the Uber's now aren't the same as those during the championship years. Those dudes ditched the program when Ty was hired, then retained!
The new boobers are a bunch of new-money dinks who have never tasted true success. This program is fucked until we win a rose bowl. Then maybe changes will be made more frequently when 7-6 happens.
