I heard some people suggest they may have offered him to keep twattenburg happy. But wouldn't a good prospect with a lot of offers be put off by that? I know I'm going to make friends and bang plenty of sloots in college anyway. But if they really want this guy, do I really want to be here? I thought I wanted to play major college football to get away from guys like this.

I doubt that is why Harris was offered, but why wouldn't Wattenberg want to play with his boy?

Anybody have a gif of Nick Wood getting launched by Steven Paeaeaea?

Wow maybe Jack Lockner was better than I remember.

Nick Wood getting manhandled is epic but does any UW player do anything well in this clip other than Jack?

Jack smoothly evades all 4 down linemen that collapsed the pocket as if there were no OL on the field and then completes an 11-yard pass in the face of an oncoming LB that could have gone for a first down if Jordan Polk doesn't fall over out of shock that he caught the ball.
I still think Locker is average, but I would have loved to have him over Browning the last few years.

Locker is one of those guys that would look all world in a highlight video, but for every great play, he missed three routine ones.

    Solid bump @GrundleStiltzkin.

Nick Harris was never concerned with the thoughts of individuals from a Husky Hobby Board.

@bananasnblondes in particular had some solid hawt takes in this thread.

Harris washed him out of the play and pancaked his ass.

It’s pretty cool that someone like Watty is the worst OL in our group of 5 starters. We’ve come along way from Sosebee or Andrew Kirkland starting half the season.

The OL battle will be interesting next spring.

    My guess:

    LT - Troy Fautanu
    LG - Luke Wattenberg
    C - Matteo Mele
    RG - Vic Curne
    RT - Jaxson Kirkland

Bainivalu and Murao 2 others who will be in the running I assume. Also maybe they keep Kirkland inside and keep Curne outside, but I think they’ll end up wanting Kirkland’s length. Mele would then move to LG for Murao to start at center come 2021.

    RT - Bain

They might start Murao at C. They like Mele's length and athleticism. Bain looked great in the spring and fall camp.

To your point, we finally have some dudes on the OL. Huff is a rockstar.

I've loved him basically as soon as he started playing. Dennis & Coker were right, a program on solid footing doesn't have a true freshmen starting at guard against Alabama. And he was definitely overmatched there. What I liked in Harris the whole time is that he's mean, aggressive, dare I say, ALPHA. Barely 18 years old and he's throwing down with a couple all-Americans.

I remember running all over Utah in 2016. Dissly and Samole would seal and Harris would pull. We got a lot of big runs and Harris played a big part against a good defense.

The Alabama DL was amazing in 2016. The whole defens eeeally but the front 7 were tuff. Harris got beat a lot like everyone else that played them that year. Clemson won because Deshaun Watson and the receiving core. We could have beat them with a better QB and playing a little cleaner.

Yep thats definitely a possible combination of starters as well. I likely would've locked in Bainivalu as a starter had he not been suspended, but regardless Curne has looked really good in limited action. If Murao gets the nod, than Mele is for sure the favorite at LT.

The OL, WR, and LB position groups will all be very interesting to watch develop during the spring and fall leading into the 2020 season.

Wouldn't count out Bain. He was suspended but they like him, I think. I could see him at RT and Kirkland staying at guard. Potentially Mele at LT and Murao at center, although I'd like to see Fautanu at tackle personally.
