If you assume Roy Hibbert helps the Lakers, you are APAGFS

In the regular season he helps. The Lakers will still suck, but Hibbert is a good defensive center. He's a lot better than Robert Sacre or a rookie Upshaw.
Their goal should be losing as many games as possible
You can't tank when your pick is top 3 protected.
Or you tank hard to maximize your chances of winning a top 3 lottery pick, but still.

That would be pretty stupid because there are other teams that will tank and the chances of a top 3 pick are low.

Tanking for that is better than going 36-46

I disagree. If they were stuck paying Kobe $24 million per beyond next year then I could see rolling the dice. But they have two good young pieces, a shitload of cap space opening up after next season and they're the fucking Lakers. If they owned their pick I'd say tank it up, but since they don't putting a mediocre team together for this year positions them better for a run at free agents than winning 20 games and still losing their pick.

I think the Lakers FO is FS but they're playing this right, even by accident.

Petro and Sene were even worse. Petro had the longest career, but that's only because he never got injured like Swifty.
