Won't the tax work out to be like $1a month? I doubt that many people will cancel their service bease of that. You can't even get a blow job from a toothless hookers in an abandoned factory for $1 anymore

Regressive tax
What is a regressive tax? It's a tax that disproportionately affects the middle class and poor.
Ex: Puppy makes $60,000 a yr as a poll dancer at the gay strip club.
Chatch makes$600 k $6,000,000$600,000,000 a year from his hedge mgr job and gaybob porn sites..
The regressive taxes don't affect Chatch. At all.

If we're going to start bashing $1 blow jobs from toothless hookers in abandoned factories, I AM OUT.bananasnblondes said:Won't the tax work out to be like $1a month? Why would Chicagoans canceling Netflix & HBOGO (California Companies) or Spotify (Sweeden?) impact Illinois' economy?topdawgnc said:9% gawd damn.
The egg heads predict it will add 12 million to the city coffers.
Of course, people will cancel, so it will likely only suck 10 million out of the state's economy.
My Chicago based sales guy, just submitted for a transfer to Dallas. It will be an immediate 15% in the bank tangible pay increase for him ... no difference in salary or commissions.
He can also buy a 3k sq ft house for an equivalent priced condo in Chi-Town.
Don't get me wrong - The Tax is 100% ChicagoFS and seems pretty illegal, but it shouldn't have much impact on the local economy, if anything it could be a benefit as people redirect entertainment $ back into local options instead of California tech companies.
Poont is Netflix, Spotify, HBO, Xbox losing business probably isn't a meaningful negative impact in the state of Illinois. Which is why the money grab makes sense to Rahm & Co. HTH. -
If you're wealthy enough to live in Chicago as a white man, 9% on your Netflix isn't going to mean shit.
If you're a black man, you're too busy shooting/getting shot at by other black men to worry about shit like a cloud tax.

That is 10 million that would have been spent elsewhere, however, it is going to pensions and other sunk costs.
Thanks.
