The Titans new QB sez soccer gave him his foundation for football. Burn that xbox or your kid will get calluses. You want that?

Your kid is begging you to play the most popular sport in the world...so instead of supporting him you sign him up for something you like?
I'm going out on a limb and say the "old lady" isn't his mom and this is your 2nd go around on this.
Don't be a Cheswick. -
He should play soccer and football. Best combination of sports. As much as I like hockey, I don't know what the fuck you are thinking playing hockey in Texas.

Hockey. in Texas is fucked up. If your kid sucks, he'll get his ass kicked, probably broken bones and blame losing out on the prom queen to his missing tooth rather than the fact he's not tuff. If he's any good, he's on to Canada.

The kids in Canada can turn their backyards into rinks all winter. Advantage: Canada.sarktastic said:Hockey. in Texas is fucked up. There's a huge grassroots hockey community in Texas ... lots of good youth players are coming out of that area in the last few years including Seth Jones

I could sit in the hot Texas sun and watch him play baseball. Or I could sit in a cool arena and watch him learn the skill of hockey. Really not a hard choice. And we have, here in the North 'burbs have a big hockey community supported by the Stars. So he gets good coaching.
And to my friend @dflea we fish, we cuss, we blow shit up, sometimes you do all you can do as a parent and they go astray.
Now ... for all y'all who's only children are dead on your stained sweat pants ... kindly fuck off. -
Bingo ... if there's one thing that the Stars do right in Texas it is how much support they have in the grassroo/junior level of soccer with all of the StarsCenters that they have.
And Toppy's 100% right, having sat through watching my brothers play their fair share of baseball growing up in the summer, those days sitting out in the sun getting killed by 100 degree weather watching youth baseball is beyond painful. -
I was just funnin' you, toppy. Don't give the kid a hard time about playing soccer. Just tell him to play it like a bad motherfucker would.
