If you want Romar fired, discrediting this recruiting class isn't the way to do it.bananasnblondes said:Romar essentially has one big-time player, a Venoy, an Aziz, and a bunch of Justin Holidays coming in.
Fucktard. -
Not true. Justin Holiday was the #79 player on Scout for his class. After Murray (39) and Chriss (49), the other guys (Thybulle (76), Green (77), Crisp (99) are essentially Justin Holiday's, and the big from Canada is not ranked.dnc said:
Who knows how they'll pan out, but everyone in this class is much more highly rated than Justin Holiday ever was.bananasnblondes said:Romar essentially has one big-time player, a Venoy, an Aziz, and a bunch of Justin Holidays coming in.
Shitting on the class is FS. It's a very good class. At the same time, most of these guys aren't going to be very successful next season. -
Well damn, I stand corrected. Holiday must have moved up after he committed because the buzz at the time was "UW wasted a scholly hoping to get Jrue to sign next year". Really surprised to see him that high.RoadDawg55 said:

Regardless, as you said shitting on the class is FS.

People really just don't understand basketball when they make comments like Fain did here. Bringing in this many recruits at one time isn't healthy, or a good sign of any program. There is one person in the nation who has won with a predominately youthful roster, and that's CAL. His talent also is from 1-15th best in the nation, not 39th-100th. As someone mentioned there is a huge gap between the top 10 or 15 guys in the nation and then the rest.
Romar should be praised for keeping a few of these guys in the boat because whomever is the coach needs talent to attempt any program revival. Sadly, having this many guys all at once means at least a couple will transfer because the minutes won't be there and there is no spacing of the class. I would have much preferred him to sit on a scholy or two rather than load up a ton of guys who all expect to play at the same time. This is purely romar roster mgt 101.
In all reality we can hope that having some talent on the roster makes the job somewhat interesting to a potential coach next season, but I could easily see a situation where murray leaves for the nba and multiple guys leave if a new coach is brought in. -
