Isn't that a capybara?

I'm in the greater Tucson-Green Valley-Vail metro area, but thanks for keeping an eye out.

I think it's a ferret. My friend's sister used to have one as a pet. It was also our mascot for 10 years.

That's funny that they define Tucson-Green Valley-Vail as a metro area. There has to be 20 miles of nothing between Tucson and Green Valley and 10-15 miles of nothing between Tucson and Vail. Not trying to be nosey, but what area do you live? There are beautiful areas in Tucson, and as a newly minted empty nester, I'm curious how you like it down there.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:I'm in the greater Tucson-Green Valley-Vail metro area, but thanks for keeping an eye out.

As for critters, do you have many javalinas in your neck of the woods? -
I make it a point to be vague on all these boreds but I'll PM you a more exact location. I did live on the Southside for several months once. It was pretty fun being one of maybe six people with privileged blue eyes within a mile radius and seeing the cop helicopters nightly. I saw some thugs getting ready to rob an Arco AMPM once too. Oh and people doing blow in their cars in the Walgreen's parking lot. Then there were the people who took in plastic bags that they filled up with merchandise and walked out.HuskyInAZ said:

I'm pretty sure GV and Sahurita are part of the official metro - not totally sure though. Yeah there is about 15 miles of nothing between Valencia Rd and those glorified retirement communes. One Tea Party faggot once got right in my face down and threatened to call "his buddy" in the Sherriff's Dept. there because I wouldn't leave one of them - true story. I had every right to be there too, but I ended up leaving with another woman I was with. You never know if one of these nutjobs might pull a gun.
Javelinas - yes. I've seen a few in the washes. They're scary. I've seen a few coyotes just walking around neighborhoods - not really that scary.
Tucson's OK. Like everywhere else, there's an increasing gap between the haves and have-nots and that's reflective in the neighborhoods. The more traditional middle class neighborhoods have fallen into disrepair and declined just in the less than 10 years I've been here. It's too bad. There are plenty of Spanish speaking folks, some African refugee types, and tons of snowbirds who usually start going north between now and June 1st.
It's not a place I'd recommend a 23 yr. old educated type starting out to relocate to unless they want to help design missiles for Raytheon or maybe work in solar (Hi d2d). It's not bad for retirees if they have the means to keep a place up north. That's actually what my aunt and uncle do except they're up in Chandler. -
Thx for the reply.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

Can concur that Tucson is very geographically segregated based on wealth. My old place reminded me of Aurora.

There are a lot of gayted communities. There are a lot of mobile home parks. Sometimes they're only 1,000 feet apart.

Based off information in this post the government has triangulated your position and is on it's way with attack choppers. Put on your tinfoil hat now if you want to live.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:
