I'm sorry he died young. It was a good band with like 5-7 really good songs, but alternative grunge alt punk rock or whatever you want to call it peaked between about '93 and '95 so it was a huge deal. Five years before, hair bands were dominant and nobody would have cared. Five years after, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Kid Rock and rap metal were cool. If he had died in 1990, it wouldn't have had much impact. There were thousands of kids who gathered at the Suckattle Center in '94 and I can remember Courtney Cunt speaking as the sound travels up the hill to Chatch's hood really well. In 2002, Layne Staley died and there was a similar gathering at the exact same place at the same time of year. There were probably only 300 kids and Jerry Cantrell was walking around. People are fickle, love what's cool at the time, and if you die at your peak, you get immortalized. If you die 15 yrs after, you get the fifth page of the LA Times Entertainment Section.

Sadly, that isn't the most ridiculous conspiracy theory on this bored
DJ revoking sig pics was the first step in his master plan to put us all in FEMA camps in order to serve the interests of the New World Order. Next step is barcodes on our foreheads.

1. Alice in Chains
2. Soundgarden
3. Nirvana/Pearl Jam
Grohl was the biggest talent in Nirvana, not Cobain.
