Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Note: It sure would be great if teen boi stalkers learned how to evaluate and project talent outside of the fridge or shower cum five-star hype circuit.
Barring that, I think it would be fair to go ham on these clowns (scout, rivals, espn).
(UTR seems to be much better at sparing the hyperbole, so props guys.)
I'm one زجاجة deep of Trader Joe's finest cab that drinks like a merlot, so duck off if you disagree.

I just watched some BS on ESPNU trying to justify this. It was comical. The fact of the matter is that the TBS prognostication is FS.......only topped by the lemmings who follow these fools.
What they didn't point out is the fact that there are more P12 starters in the Super Bowl than the SEC. Go figure.
After that, it begins to change based on how players develop, coaching, and the depth of the position. And the further you're removed from it, the more useless it becomes.
Unless the University of Washington is suddenly trying to win Superb Owls, I have no idea what this has to do with anything.
No shit there are far more 2 and 3 stars playing in the Superb Owl...because there are far more two and three stars.
Odds of any individual 5 star making all conference or being drafted are higher than the odds for a 4 star which are higher than for a 3 star which are higher than for a 2 star.
It's a general sentiment about recruiting. Of course I still believe that five stars in college win games, but how does that relate to your point. Abundance. Christ.
In Scout he was a 4* and ranked #32 for WRs in 2008.
He was also 6 spots ahead of Cody Bruns that year, who was #38.
