Shelton is pretty much a lock as a top 15 pick now, and the Bears are rumored to want him at pick #7. I remember people saying he could slip all the way out of the 1st round way earlier this year. It's pretty awesome for him.

He measured in at 6'1" 3/4 at 343 pounds... Glad he is closer to 6'2" than 6'1", either way... he is going to get paid.

The Bears need help at all 3 levels of their defense. Shelton is an upgrade to what they have at DT.

Isn't Stephen Paea of the Corvallis Beavers locking down the DT spot on the baers?

nothing says stout interior DL play like 2 of hawaii's finest!biak1 said:Isn't Stephen Paea of the Corvallis Beavers locking down the DT spot on the baers?

With Fangio joining as defensive coordinator, they might move to a 3-4. Shelton would seem like a perfect fit as a nose tackle there.biak1 said:Isn't Stephen Paea of the Corvallis Beavers locking down the DT spot on the baers?

after his senior bowl/combine (where he'll run a decent 40 for his size), there would be no way he slips out of the first round lol (add in the fact he's an academic all-american so no character concerns)
EDIT: Matter of fact if the seahawks passed on him I'd be furious given the value that late... -
could use him but he'll do really well at senior bowl. Doubt he slips out of top15-18. He is amazing at nose tackle. Watching him sideline-sidleline is impressive to watch. Just shows how athletic he is.

But how did Peterman have no talent?
