Some actual Husky talk - Next year's OL

Wouldn't be surprised to see RS-Fr's Caleb "Big Cuntry" McGary and Jesse Sosobeeseeseebeesese get major playing time next year, possibly as starters.

Everyone has expected Eldrenkampf to take over at LT but I don't think the staff is sold on him. He played nothing but garbage minutes last year. Even when Coleman Shelton went down, Atoe and his cement shoes were moved over to RT. McGary has the ideal size and athleticism but never played a true OL in high school. If he can pick up the position, he might make a play for starting minutes.

On the inside, the coaches seem to really like Sosobeeseebeeseebese. He apparently moves great, is really strong, and already looks like a 45 year old man and, like with Eldrenkampf, they didn't give Kirkland, Fuvai (still hasn't played a snap in a live game) or Crane a shake in any games this year. Brostek could also emerge as a player if he can shake the Cozz off.

My guess

LT - McGary
LG - Charles
C - Tufungus
RG- Sosobeeseebeeseesesesebeeseebeseesbeeesee
RT - Shelton (not the Hawaiian one)

As for starting RS Fr., Hatchie, Porter, Kohler, Charles, Tanigawa, Criste, and Shelton (the white one) all started as True or RS frosh. On a slightly more successful team you had Fisher, Grassu, and Johnstone all starting since they were RS-fr for the team that lost

Oh wait. Good stuff. It will be interesting to see if McGary starts of spring ball at OL, or if he still plays DL initially.

What about that Devin Burleson guy? Seems like he could be the dark horse (no racist crap!). Hopefully Ivan's remote-offseason program has done him some good.

I predict the same lineup as Bananas. I don't think Eldenkamp has a chance at playing LT if he can't even beat Coleman Shelton out at RT. I think McGary or another freshman starts there. Dexter Charles would be my dark horse if he could move from guard. I don't think that happens though.

Sark acted like he won the lottery when Eldrenkampf picked us over the Cougs because he was from Bellevue. Unfortunately, he had to offer him at the last minute because nobody else wanted to play for him (Banner, Garnett, Williams). Eldrenkampf was the second best lineman on his team after walk-on Michael Kneip and even Ektard was saying all year that Sark was in on bigger fish and wouldn't offer him.

Along with Dean (didn't even make all-league as a senior) , Brostek (who almost picked Oregon at the last minute) and Hindy (recruited as a "short snapper"), that OL class was one for the ages

Serious question - given all the controversy over the OL during Sark's tenure how many of the UW OL are going to be Pac-12 quality? My own view is that part of the problem with the Husky offense this year wasn't the experience, but rather that at least a couple of those experienced players were just not up to the task in terms of raw talent.

Am I off base here?

You're correct. There was lots of experience on the line. They are just terrible.
