For those who want a 16 team playoff
What benefit does a 10-3 Mizzou bring to the dynamic?
A 10-3 Georgia Tech?

D1AA: 24 out of 121 make the playoffs (19.8%)
D2: 24 out of 167 make the playoffs (14.4%)
D3: 32 out of 242 make the playoffs (13.2%)
NAIA: 16 out of 89 make the playoffs (18%)
D1A has 125 teams. What's the right number?
8 teams would be 6.4%
16 teams would be 12.8%
24 teams would be 19.2%
32 teams would be 25.6%
In my opinion, 16 is perfect. Power 5 Champs + 11 at large teams. Seed it out 1-16. Higher seed at home. Conference championship games first Saturday of December. No playoff bye weeks. Jump right into the playoffs the next week. Championship game at a pre-determined site the first Saturday of January.
Bowl games go the way of the fucking dinosaurs.
Middle row: Yes, no, craves it, no, yes
Bottom row: Yes, craves it
On average, 3 from each conference make some noise ... then there is typically one non-power 5 member.
The regular season and conference championship sort those 20 out.
8 is debatable, I stick to 6 ...
I get eight as well.
But still...
2. No bowls
3. Kick about 30 teams out of D-1A
4. Promotion/relegation
5. Profit
About 80 need to be booted.
UAB at least selectively Darwined themselves out of the system.
Troy, Idaho, et. al. Should follow suit
